Why do you love working with dogs?

Dogs put me into a positive and present space – much like meditating - and teach me new things every day. Their uncanny ability to make the worst weather fun while wagging their tails! They get me outside, in the fresh air and provide a healthy lifestyle.

Which breed is your favorite and why?

Honestly, I haven’t met a breed I don’t like. Each dog is an individual and has unique qualities and personality traits. Getting to know each one is so special for me.

What is your best tip for walking dogs?

Be acutely aware of your surroundings at all times, pre-open poop bags in the winter so you don’t have to take your gloves off, and make sure you have the right gear (shoes, rain pants, warm clothing, hat, etc.) Lastly, enjoy nature and all it has to offer!

What was your first dog’s name?

My first dog was a medium sized black French Poodle named Coco. She was a gift to my parents when they got married in Cotonou, Africa. She was my first playmate and ultimately my first best friend. I believe she is the reason I love dogs so much.

Why do you love working with dogs?

There is never a moment where being with a dog feels like work that’s why it’s the best job!

Which breed is your favorite and why?

To pick between all the fabulous breeds and choose a favorite I would have to go with Siberian Husky. Huskies are known for being extremely vocal. I see it as we can have a duet concert.

What is your best tip for walking dogs?

Have a mini storage bag. To store anything from your treats to poop bags and an extra leash. Can’t hold everything in your hands while holding leashes.

What was your first dog’s name?

First dog that I remember having was named Piper. He was a Pit/Shepherd mix. He was my best friend ever!

Why do you love working with dogs?

I love working with dogs because they always give you unconditional love and there’s no such thing as a bad day when you’re working with these furry friends!

Which breed is your favorite and why?

My favorite breed has to be Golden Retrievers because of how friendly and affectionate they are.

What is your best tip for walking dogs?

I think my best tip would be to learn the habits of the dog you are walking, makes the walk fun and easy for both walker and dog!

What was your first dog’s name?

My first dog's name is Princess and she of course is treated like royalty.

Why do you love working with dogs?

I love working with dogs because they are pure joy and uplifting souls.  They enjoy living in the moment - a beautiful day to enjoy a walk, a trail to follow with their nose, and the simple pleasures such as cuddles and curling up with their humans.

Which breed is your favorite and why?

French bulldogs are my favorite breed.  I think they’re adorable, silly, and so much fun to be around.  They tend to seek each other out in groups and their snorts and howls elicit smiles and laughs from me.

What is your best tip for walking dogs?

When walking dogs, remember that no two are exactly alike.  Let them set the pace and decide how they like their walks.  I find it relaxing to focus on them and their needs.

What was your first dog’s name?

Growing up, a handsome golden retriever named Seamus lived across the street.  He was very affectionate and I loved playing with him.

Why do you love working with dogs?

Dogs have been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember. I love learning about all of their individual quirks and behaviors, as well as being able to enrich their lives as much as I can.

Which breed is your favorite and why?

Probably Samoyeds on account of their insane fluff and smarts, and because we both adore cold weather.

What is your best tip for walking dogs?

Let the dog set the pace of the walk, as long as you can keep up with them. No one likes being dragged along and away from everything and every scent that piques their interest.

What was your first dog’s name?

Sage was a West Highland Terrier.

Why do you love working with dogs?

I’m a huge animal lover, but dogs are my favorite. The unconditional love and support they provide is incredible and I don’t think there’s anything like them.

Which is your favorite breed and why?

I love all of them so it’s hard to narrow it down, but maybe pitbulls because they’re so misunderstood and usually the sweetest most loving dogs. I also have a soft spot for Boston terriers they’re such goof balls!

What is your best tip for walking dogs?

Best tip for walking dogs is to learn about your dog, pick up on its quirks. Try to bond with them because it’s all about having them trust you.

What was your first dog's name?

I’ve honestly never had a dog of my very own, which is really sad. But I took care of my grandma’s dog Radar a lot when I was younger which really pushed me to want to work with animals and especially dogs. My roommate currently has a sweet little puggle named Ralphie who is awesome too!

Why do you love working with dogs?

Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved animals; dogs held and still hold a special place in my heart. Every day I wake up and feel undeniably grateful for the opportunity to be surrounded by dogs. Their cheerful and radiant energy only make it that much more exciting for me throughout the day.

Which breed is your favorite and why?

German Shepherds and Huskies are by far two of my favorite breeds. Their calculated yet playful personalities make it that much more entertaining. They are always ready for a new adventure and explore everything the world has to offer. You can feel their happiness and the energy they exert. It’s truly refreshing.

What is your best tip for walking dogs?

My ultimate tip for walking dogs is to have fun! You are surrounded by cheerful energy throughout the day and the best approach is to reciprocate that liveliness. Get to know and understand each and every dog in their own way. It’s truly the best job there is to have!

What was your first dog’s name?

My first dog was a Yorkie Terrier named Lyla; she usually went by the nickname Lemons.

Why do you love working with dogs?

For me, it's simple: Dogs make life better. This quote from the late great Gilda Radner sums it up: "Dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me, they are the role model for being alive." Dogs truly are humanity's best friend. And working at SNP opens the door to many new friends!

Which breed is your favorite and why?

Impossible to give one answer, so I'll go based on personal experience. Small breed: Chihuahua. Large breed: Rhodesian Ridgeback

What is your best tip for walking dogs?

Customize each walk to match the dog's needs. Much like every dog has its own personality, each one has its own walking preference, energy level, sniffing route, etc.

Why do you love working with dogs?

I think that there’s something especially rewarding about caring for something that has nothing to give back to you other than love. Our relationship with dogs may seem one-sided, after all we are the ones feeding and walking them, but the love you get back in return is more than worth it. Not to mention a wagging tail and happy face can turn any bad day into a good one!

Which is your favorite breed and why?

I have always loved the labradors. They always seem to have the friendliest and sweetest personalities with the right amount of

crazy mixed in!

What is your best tip for walking dogs?

My number one tip for dog walking is to know the dog that you’re walking. Every dog has their own quirks and knowing what those are and how to deal with them is key.
