Why do you love working with dogs?

I love working with dogs because they just take away all my stress and replace it with love and happiness. I also love how in tune with nature they are as well as there primal instincts...they remind me of me :)

Which breed is your favorite and why?

My favorite breed are Huskies! I just love how fluffy they are and there vibe!

What is your best tip for walking dogs?

My best advice for dog walking would be to just GIVE LOVE, you get what you give and because dogs are such primal beings they can feel whatever energy you put out.

What was your first dog’s name?

Sadly I've never owned a dog, but i have lived with one for a couple years and her name was Beef!

Why do you love working with dogs?

Dogs put me into a positive and present space – much like meditating - and teach me new things every day. Their uncanny ability to make the worst weather fun while wagging their tails! They get me outside, in the fresh air and provide a healthy lifestyle.

Which breed is your favorite and why?

Honestly, I haven’t met a breed I don’t like. Each dog is an individual and has unique qualities and personality traits. Getting to know each one is so special for me.

What is your best tip for walking dogs?

Be acutely aware of your surroundings at all times, pre-open poop bags in the winter so you don’t have to take your gloves off, and make sure you have the right gear (shoes, rain pants, warm clothing, hat, etc.) Lastly, enjoy nature and all it has to offer!

What was your first dog’s name?

My first dog was a medium sized black French Poodle named Coco. She was a gift to my parents when they got married in Cotonou, Africa. She was my first playmate and ultimately my first best friend. I believe she is the reason I love dogs so much.

Why do you love working with dogs?

I love working with dogs quite simply because I grew up with three of them! More importantly, because every dog you spend time with develops a trusting relationship with you and it is very rewarding. Lastly, dogs do so much for us, so I like to repay them!

Which breed is your favorite and why?

I love Australian Shepherds because they are big adventure and hiking dogs. I have never met one who hasn’t been full of love and energy.

What is your best tip for walking dogs?

A tip I would give for walking dogs is remember that you are doing it for them! Let them lead to a certain extent while using your voice to let them know you are still in charge.

What was your first dog’s name?

My first dog ever was a Beagle that I named Jetski. She was an extremely lovable dog, but her crazy beagle side would always come out once we left the house!

Why do you love working with dogs?

Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved animals; dogs held and still hold a special place in my heart. Every day I wake up and feel undeniably grateful for the opportunity to be surrounded by dogs. Their cheerful and radiant energy only make it that much more exciting for me throughout the day.

Which breed is your favorite and why?

German Shepherds and Huskies are by far two of my favorite breeds. Their calculated yet playful personalities make it that much more entertaining. They are always ready for a new adventure and explore everything the world has to offer. You can feel their happiness and the energy they exert. It’s truly refreshing.

What is your best tip for walking dogs?

My ultimate tip for walking dogs is to have fun! You are surrounded by cheerful energy throughout the day and the best approach is to reciprocate that liveliness. Get to know and understand each and every dog in their own way. It’s truly the best job there is to have!

Why do you love working with dogs?

I love working with dogs because it doesn’t seem like “working” at all! I love being with dogs because they love so fully and so easily, they know when a lick, a lean, or a paw is needed to brighten a day, and they remind us to take time to appreciate all the things in life we overlook when moving a thousand miles per hour.

Which breed is your favorite and why?

Golden Retrievers are my favorite because of their gentle, loving ways. And they’re big and soft and can hold way too many tennis balls in their mouth at once.

What is your best tip for walking dogs?

Take one more poop bag than you think you’ll need.

What was your first dog’s name?

Runsie, a rescued Chesapeake Bay Retriever, was my first dog. She was 3 when I adopted her and she stole my heart (and a lot of my socks!). She was a one person dog and I was lucky enough to be her one and only.
